PC Tech Northwest, Inc. was formed in 2003 by John Gallucci. After being laid off and while looking for employment in the IT field, John began fixing computers for friends, and then friends of friends, and then their friends. What he found was that many customers thought that the “big box” chains were the only option for technical support. Often, he was being called to repair work that had been done by a national chain store. In many cases, he was fixing the additional damage done by, let’s say a “geek,” resolving the initial issue, and doing it all for less than what the customer paid to have his or her machine, well, more broken.
